We’ve been friends for a hundred years and artists for almost as long.  Now we find ourselves living around the corner from each other in  Wellfleet on Cape Cod. Over the years, we have encouraged one  another in our creative practices, finding so much to inspire us in this  beautiful coastal environment. Our work is very different as you will  see from the pieces we are showing here but it reflects the love we  both share for Wellfleet and the incredible nature that surrounds it.  

Caren is inspired by the sea life that is ever present here: horseshoe  crabs, octopuses and the oysters that have made Wellfleet famous. Her  beachcombing provides a constant source of material for her paintings.  

Caroline’s work is less figurative, her abstracts capturing the watery  beauty of the New England oceans that are so integral to life here.
